9th Annual
Harpers' Escape Weekend

2001 Photo Album

A lot of the participants sent us photos they took at the Weekend. Here are a few glimpses into what it's like at the Harpers Escape.

Kathy demonstrates some technique during the ornamentation workshop (above) with Laura and Bill looking on.  Gerry (below) gets the "thumbs up" mantra from Kathy.

Patti practices a "cut" (right). She traveled from Texas for the Weekend.

Myra (above) traveled all the way from Bath, England to be with us (and visit her mom, who lived nearby). Corinne (below) was one of the eight who took our youth track with Bridget Highet.

Bill is one of our many alumni who returned for another year. It's always gratifying to us to see how much they are motivated by our Weekend and improve from year to year.

Bridget takes a much deserved break.

An alcove on the 2nd floor was practice space for Sarah.

Some folks walked down to the Delaware River (only 2 blocks away) on their lunch hour.

All the photos on this page were taken by Lee Gayman, a 3-year Harpers Escape alumnus.

The main workshop room (above) resonated with lots of music on Saturday night. When we woke up Sunday morning, the harp elves had neatened up the room and lined up all the harps to greet us at breakfast (below).
