About Wendy McClure:

Wendy McClure is a seasoned leader in volunteer engagement and human resources with over 15 years of experience in public libraries. She holds a provisional librarian certificate and earned her Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) in 2016—one of approximately 1,200 professionals worldwide to achieve this distinction.

Wendy has demonstrated strong leadership within Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE), where she served on the Board of Trustees, contributed to the HR & Policy Committee, and co-facilitated the Community of Practice Literacy Group.

A sought-after speaker, Wendy has presented on a variety of topics including volunteer management, policy development, and leadership strategies. Her sessions include “Let’s Chat About Volunteers,” “Volunteer Management,” and “Policy vs. Procedure Checklist” at the Pennsylvania Library Association Conference, as well as presentations for the Midwest Volunteerism Summit, Allegheny County Library Association, and Central Oklahoma Volunteer Administrators. She also served as a panelist at the AL!VE 2026 National Summit for “You’re Not Alone: Support, Resources & Real Talk for Volunteer Leaders.”
