Delaware ILS RFQ Library Staff Reviewer Information

Serve as a Library Staff Reviewer for the Delaware ILS Request for Quotations (RFQ)

Hosting Solutions and Library Consulting (HSLC), a nonprofit organization, has been working with the Delaware Library Consortium (DLC) to assess whether to renew the final year of its current contract with SirsiDynix Symphony or to explore and potentially adopt a new integrated library system (ILS). As part of this process, HSLC gathered input from library staff and the public through surveys, focus groups, and vendor demonstrations. Based on these efforts, the DLC has decided to move forward with issuing an RFQ for its next ILS.

On behalf of the DLC, HSLC is seeking volunteers to serve as reviewers for this statewide initiative.

What’s involved?

Reviewers will apply their practical, real-world experience to evaluate vendor responses to the RFQ. Using a provided scoring matrix, reviewers will assess submissions and provide structured feedback. The process will be conducted entirely remotely, with no in-person participation required.

Time commitment

Reviewers will assess submissions from the top three vendor candidates, including both technical proposals and product demonstrations. Each response is expected to require approximately three to five hours of review time, with additional time allocated for live, virtual demonstrations, which are mandatory to attend. The evaluation process is currently scheduled to take place between July 8 and July 31, 2026.

We aim to assemble a review group that reflects a diversity of library types and regions across Delaware. Thank you for all that you do—we hope you’ll consider lending your expertise to this effort.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact us at delaware@hslc.org. Thank you for your time and consideration.
